Who is eligible?

All students studying at an Australian university or TAFE.

Does this cost anything?

No.

Will I definitely get a rebate?

No. Successful applicants are selected by random draw.

When will rebates recipients be chosen?

April 1, 2011.
Successful applicants will have until Oct 14 to claim their rebate.

How much is the rebate?

$63,000 is being distributed in $200 amounts to 315 successful applicants.

Should I apply before or after I buy my textbooks?

Either. However you must apply prior to midnight, 31 March 2011.

Can I apply more than once?

No, however if you participate in the "tell-a-friend" feature you will be automatically entered a maximum second time, doubling your chances of a successful application.

Can I claim a rebate on secondhand textbooks?

No. Rebates are available on new textbooks or course related materials purchased from an on-campus bookseller.

Can I claim course materials?

Yes. New textbooks and "course related materials" from an on-campus bookshop can be used to claim the rebate.

Can I use a receipt from an online purchase?

Yes - as long as it is from a website from an on-campus bookshop.

Why must I join StudentVIP?

StudentVIP creates useful services for students. This is one of them. StudentVIP's contribution is providing the funding of the management costs of the project. This ensures 100% of the donated funds are distributed to students.
